It's time for the NFL to end the lockout. The integrity of the game is gone, and so is a lot of people's money.

"Monday night's controversial touchdown call that gave the Seattle Seahawks a 14-12 victory over the Green Bay Packers had an immediate impact for gamblers.

If the Hail Mary pass by Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson would have been ruled an interception by Packers safety M.D. Jennings, Green Bay -- 3½ point favorites -- would have won by five, covering the spread."

Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers -- Disputed MNF call shifted $150-$250M in bets - ESPN

The last the NFL is worried about is Las Vegas sportsbooks.

Boycott the NFL like I am. The refs are rats along with the Players who do not support their union brothers.

If the NFL could outsource to China they would.

My Dad said the refs were worse than those at a high school football game.

Some of those refs were fired by the Lingerie Football League for incompetence. Roger Goodell and the dipstick owners hired scabs who couldn't even cut it in the Lingerie Football League. They've already completely blown two games, handing wins to Seattle and Baltimore. And they've tainted several others.

Whatever the owners are saving by not paying the professional refs, they have lost 1,000 times over in bad publicity.

Maybe, maybe not. I really don't know. All I know is that a lot of people lost money who shouldn't have.

However, the networks do care. CBS recently announced a change in scheduled programming to accommodate the delays, and I'm sure viewership sinks when those delays occur.

Definitely lots of deservedly bad publicity, but the owners will lose something only if people stop buying tickets and merchandise and if advertisers stop advertising. And that isn't very likely.

The one thing I find surprising about this unfolding travesty is that nobody is blaming the ref's union. Even Scott Walker is calling for the union refs to return. Another thing I find surprising is that nobody (on the other side of the union debate) is criticizing the players for taking the field with a bunch of scabs.

Let's keep this on the topic of the OP, or take it over to Football or any other general forum where it's being discussed. Thanks.

Blaming the refs' union for what? The refs are not on strike.

The refs can't return because they've been locked out.
