My pool pump is no longer working. I called Leslie's for repair. They've scheduled me for next Monday May 28th. ugh. I want to be fixed ASAP. Do you know any good pool repair company?

Have you tried calling NPS? They have several stores in the area and seem more knowledgeable than Leslie's anyway.

NPS Nation Wide Pool Supply

Good luck!

EDIT: No matter who replaces the pump, I highly recommend getting a variable speed pump. The extra cost is well worth it in the long run.

I called one of them. They don't do repairs. They recommended me to call Roger at 702-812-3107.

Sometimes it is a simple Capacitor. Make sure they test that first before they replace the motor. Some guys will do this to make more money. Capacitor is a really cheap fix.

Start capacitors briefly increase motor starting torque and allow a motor to be cycled on and off rapidly.[1] Start capacitors have ratings above 70 microfarads (µF), with four major voltage classifications: 125 V, 165V, 250 V, and 330 V.[1] A start capacitor stays in the circuit long enough to rapidly bring the motor to 3/4 of full speed and is then taken out of the circuit, such as by a centrifugal switch that releases at that speed. The motor after that runs more efficiently with a run capacitor.

Its basically the hump on the back of your motor. Two screws remove the cover and you will have access to the capacitor. Test this first before you get a new motor.

I took my pump to a motor repair shop. I asked him to check the capacitor. He connected the motor to power in front of me and said "it won't run, the motor needs to be rebuilt and it will cost $350." I removed the capacitor, bought one on the internet for $7, installed it and all was good. So, you can't be sure about anyone.

Just my point. Also it costs about the same to get a new motor rather than getting it rebuilt. New motors carry warranties 12-18 months depending on brand name.

I keep hearing about the variable speed pump. Maybe this is the time to switch.
