Is it possible to obtain TV Reception by using an external antenna in the Centennial Hills area?

Antenna.org or google antenna reception direction. I've got one recently and it works even in HD. CH3 is the weakest signal for me. CH5 the best.
Point it towards the south east hilltops and you should do okay.

Yes. I live in the Northwest, Silverstone Ranch. We cut our cable 1 year ago. We are purely getting over the air digital signals for tv now. We get 25 channels, many Spanish. We haven't missed cable at all. I wish we had done it sooner, all the money we could have saved.

Thanks for your replies. Now if my HOA will allow an external one. If not, I will try indoor antenna.

I use an indoor Philips sdv6122 and am happy with it. It has a power gain control which makes all the difference in the world. Got it at walmart for $30.

An HOA is not supposed to be able to limit the installation, just the look of it.

See FCC info.

Over-the-Air Reception Devices Rule | FCC.gov

If you want the hassle, go to your architectural committee first to tell them what you will be installing. Let them review FCC regs.

Otherwise, as long as you know you are within your rights, it is sometimes easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
