The general poll/thread on how much one spends in bakeries was moved (appropriately) by the mods because it wasn't focused on LV. However, I'd like to start a thread that is.

I went to a very good bakery/deli yesterday: Rincon de Buenos Aires on Spring Mountain Rd.

Among other items, we picked up some delicious alfajores. Although not a bakery item, I also picked up a six-pack of Cusquena, a Peruvian beer. I first tasted it while having lunch last month at a beachfront restaurant in the Mira Flores section of Lima. My wife also purchased some Mate tea, which is a traditional drink of Uruguay. She had picked up a Mate teacup and the metal straw that one drinks from while in Montevideo. Here's what it looks like:

Since there were a few posts on the other thread about specific bakeries and/or delis in LV, I've taken the liberty of C&Ping them below:

Albina's Italian Bakery on E Tropicana. Fabulous cannolis & other treats.
There's a bakery somewhere that makes all the breads for many of the big casinos. Does anyone know what that is? I think they sell to the public.
Also, a source for (German) pretzel rolls?

If you want to try a good Jewish deli in Henderson, you really should visit Weiss. Matzo Ball Soup, fresh bagels, whitefish, lox, pastrami....you get the idea. Great homemade pickles.

Talking The best Vegas bakery is in Henderson!

Chef Flemming's Bakeshop, #7 So. Water St. in beautiful downtown Henderson is a first rate artisanal Danish bakery. Flemming also does a good selection of European style (i.e. crispy crust) breads in rolls in addition to truly wonderful cakes and pastries. Reasonably priced.

Since this is a new thread I repeat what I posted on the old one.

How come nobody has mentioned Great Buns? I wish they would open a bakery in the NW. WELCOME

Speaking of Great Buns, when they were rebuilding after their fire they had a small place on W. Sahara. I was able to get fresh dough there. Does anyone know where I can get fresh bread dough without driving to the other side of town (besides make it myself)? I use it to make pepperoni rolls.

You might as well look over the world's greatest hot dogs too.

Ritzy Lunch - Clarksburg, WV

I would add here that anyone that would ruin a good hot dog with cole slaw should be shot at sunrise.

I recommend that you stay away from bakeries and Deli's. Very unhealthy with high carbs, high salt and high saturated fat. Eventually, your heart arteries will clog up or you will develop premature hypertension/obesity/cancer. At least 500,000 Americans have a heart attack every year. 50% of them die on the spot, and another 10% die within a month.

Exercise regularly and you can eat whatever you want.
You got to pay to play.

Peace!
