Hi Everyone

I live in the UK and I am currently looking for,or information of Mr John F Keating. He was a dear friend of a close family member and is still spoken of with great affection. I have limited information, but know that John served with the US Army during World War 2 and during 1944/45 was stationed at Blackshaw Moor, Leek, Staffordshire UK. I can reassure anyone who knows of John that there are no nasty surprises, we just wanted to know how he is and to say hello.

I have tried several veterans sites but have had no luck. Can anyone help or point us in the direction of someone who can? We would be so grateful.

Thanking you.

This thread is irrelevant to the KS discussion. Is this a Kansas resident you are inquiring about or is it someone who lives in the U.S. in general?

You might try Ft. Scott, Kansas, I have heard that name there, and his hometown is not that far away from Ft. Scott, if it isn't him, it could be a relative.

Hi Silverhaired 51. Thank you for taking the time to reply to my thread. How would I go about trying to find out the information in Ft Scott? Is there a local newspaper I could contact?

Yes, there is a local newspaper, Ft. Scott Tribuene (spelling). My brother lives there and I sent him a email and asked him if he knew him. I was just going to send him another one. I will try a few things and I will post a reply to you as soon as I do found something out for you.

A easy way to find out, you just goggle his name and put in behind his name Ft. Scott, Kansas. There was a John F. Keating III on the city commission. That may or may not be him, maybe a son?

I have tried to goggle him and there are several Keatings but I concentrated on Fulton. I will try the newspaper you suggest. I am reallly grateful for all your help and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Thank you so much.

Default J Keating

Did you ever locate Mr Keating? He actually lives in Ft Scott as does his son and grandson who are all named after him.
