Well, there's the obvious...St. Augustine, the beach, etc. But, if you want to show them the REAL Florida, consider renting a pontoon boat from Salt Springs Marina, Salt Springs Run Marina,Salt Springs Florida-See the Real Florida, and boating down Salt Run to Lake George.

You may also want to take them to Marjorie Rawlings home in Cross Creek Main Page - Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park » Florida State Parks (http://tinyurl.com/6lfpon - broken link)

Close by there's Talbot Island State Park

Tubing down the Ichetucknee is always fun and provides a break from the FL heat!

A trip to Cumberland Island is fantastic...I'd call first though because of the recent fires.

Marineland has been revamped and is a great experience

The FL Museum of Natural History is a must see for all Floridians

And if you do go to Gainesville, don't miss Kanapaha Botanical Gardens

Hope this helps...have a blast with your company!

Great list Cellson !

I think one full day in downtown St. Augustine is a must. Try one of the Red Trolley or Green Trolley tours to get around efficiently and see a lot of the sights. If you're still there in the evening, the Ghost tours are a lot of fun .

I like to show guests a variety of beaches. It usually includes Guana and then maybe Atlantic or Jax Beach or Hanna park.

Fernandina Beach is a fun location too. The drive is beautiful if you go up A1A and you'll pass through the Talbot Islands as Cellson outlined above. Your destination could be lunch in Fernandina.

If you're up for it, another great day trip is Savannah. It's nice to tour the historic area, do a little shopping, have lunch, tour the art galleries and you can still make it back to Jacksonville in time for a late dinner.

Another option is to do some Jacksonville neighborhood tours. Take them to Five Points, San Marco and the Saint Johns Town Center. That way you can walk around, shop, and stop for coffees or lunch along the way.

Itchetucknee is totally worth the drive. My friends who visit always ooh and ahh over how gorgeous it is. Depends on how big your family is into nature, though...
