My wife and I are planning our first visit to the area in May, with the possibility of relocating to the area. However, we are only looking to settle in an 55plus community. We currrently live in the foothill area of North Georgia, and the winters are becoming a bit much for my wife and I. Hard to believe winter can be harsh in Georgia, but, in the mountains the humidity and cold air will change your mind.

So, generally speaking, if you have knowledge about any of the communities, the area they are located in, safe, not safe, access to shopping and healthcare, we would like to hear your thoughts, comments, etc. Thanks in advance, RK04. I should add that our housing budget is 400k and perhaps a bit north of that.

Wildlight has a 55+ community starting in the 300s but that's a good hour+ north of St Augustine. It's a nice area and growing. World Golf village is closer to St Aug (some people call it St Aug but IMO it's not really, but the mailing address says it is. It's called Cascades. I'm not sure what the prices are. Nocatee (Del Webb) is just north of St Augustine and is really great but not sure you will find anything under 500-600K.

Better act quick, only 2 homes left in there! UniFlorida IV was the builder, and they would've have been on my most recent list of best builders if they were still building anything here. Hopefully they've got other projects in the works because they do a really, really great job!
