Hey there!

We currently live in Julington Creek Plantation and we are considering moving to either Durbin Crossing or Nocatee because we need a bigger house and we like the idea of getting to build one new.

We like the houses/lots/location of Durbin but we like the amenities in Nocatee. However, my brother-in-law just came up with a deal-breaker for Nocatee that I wanted to get some advice on. He's a coach with the (huge) Creeks Athletic Association here, and he says that kids from Nocatee come all the way here for sports. He said he hears parents complaining all the time about having to drive 25 minutes each way for their practices and games.

Is there anyone in Nocatee who could advise on this? Does Nocatee have a sports league like the CAA?

It's making us really lean towards Durbin Crossing since its right smack in the middle of the CAA, you could even walk to the main fields from there. We just dont like the idea of our kids living so far from their teammates and all the action.

Thanks in advance!

If you BIL is a coach in CAA, he should know that Ponte Vedra Soccer Club plays in Davis Park which is right near Nocatee.

Ok, thanks for the info!

I do still wonder why parents would be bringing their kids from Nocatee to sports here? If anyone has any insight, let me know!

Thanks!!!

I know we get some from WGV because that organization is a bit more competitive at the younger ages instead of development (from a soccer standpoint). I've never had a child on my teams from Nocatee.

Our six year old played soccer at Davis Park last fall and had a great time. Only problem was the company who took the team pictures. Not only did they not arrive until three months later, they sent me the wrong team picture altogether. We live in Austin Park at Nocatee and love it.
