We are looking at moving a bit north of where we are currently located in SJGCC on SR210. Can anyone share their experiences with traffic on racetrack road around 7am? My husband works in north downtown Jacksonville (Springfield area) and currently takes 210 to I95. What is traffic like from Durbin Crossing or Bartram Springs in the morning and what is the best way to get to I95? Or should we concentrate on the Bay Meadows area? Our children are finished with school so that's not a consideration. Would like a large (1/4 to 1 acre) lot and some real trees though.

Actual traffic on RT is minimal, imo. BUT, the way most folks get to 95 from that area go up Bartram Park Blvd. At 7am its packed during the school year. So if you looked into it right now it would be quite light. I would say that it is not bad enough to not move to the area if that is where you really want to be. Its about a 5-10 min wait at the Old St. Aug Rd/Bartram Park light, and about another 5-10 min wait to get onto 95. Some do take US 1 up to 95, but it ends up taking about the same amount of time imo. In a number of years there should be a connection with 9b right at race track, but that is a ways off. Hope this helps, but again, I would not let it stop you from moving to the area.

If you moved to Durbin Crossing wouldn't your husband just come back to 210 to get on I-95? I'm guessing it's going to take him longer if you move to that area or Bartram Springs. I know a couple that left SJG&CC when their kids were out of the house to move to an "older" community without as many small kids running around. They wound up in Deercreek by the Avenues.
