Hey Everyone,

I was in a accident the other day and my adjuster says it's going to be around $13,000 damage on a quick glance. I'm horrified of that because it probably means they'll total it. I hit a guard rail going around 40 MPH on the highway. My front bottom bumper on the right side is busted, the headlight was busted, my tire was shoved backwards so it's closer to the body now (the tire popped), and the guard rail dented my car all the way to the back door. I wanted some opinions because it is a unibody, if the frame would've been badly damaged? The car was still running, the wheel still turns, the air bags didn't go off, and the hood was fine. None of us have whiplash either. I guess I'm just trying to ask if anyone thinks my car is fixable. It's only 2 months old and has less than 3,000 miles.

Thanks.

A "quick glance" is not a detailed estimate.

You'll want to have that done before concluding anything like the car is totaled.

I'd personally be surprised if is given what you have described.

Are you sure you would want it fixed anyway? That kind of damage seriously diminishes what it is worth when you want to get rid of it, and would you trust it?

The difference might be, you are the one who ends up with thousands of dollars in bills, right?
