I heard last year that they were opening a specialty grocery store but haven't seen anything new. Has anyone heard anything?

I hate to respond to my own thread, but I am surprised that no one has chimed in on this. City Centre appears to be doing very well. I know parking is quite painful, but I thought a grocer was setting up shop by the movie theater.

Last year there was a rumor about Hubbell & Hudson Market & Bistro, but I haven't heard anything about since.
Grocery tenant may come to CityCentre - Houston Tomorrow

For some reason I thought you meant the Shops at Houston Center.
City Centre should be renamed. It is deceptive. It is really just a fancy suburban strip mall.
How about Fancy Far West Strip Mall.

There have been a few threads debating the City Centre name. Obviously it is on the west side of the city, but I don't think the people driving out I10 every day think that this is far out west. And a 'strip mall'? Have you been there? It has a number of restaurants, lofts, office buildings, a gym, hotel, exotic car club, movie theater, and really just a few shopping venues.

I do think it is a bit overhyped, but they are in an interesting location and are barely keeping up with the customer traffic.

You need to get a clue. First of all I don't know how you confuse "Houston Centers" which are office buildings downtown and City Centre a mixed used development by the beltway. Second of all I don't of any 'strip malls" that have 5 star hotels in them. Third of all when did Town and Country/Memorial become the suburbs?

I think theyve always been suburbs. Heck, meyerland which is much closer is still the suburbs. City centre is still a nice idea however. Hopefully it succeeds and more of them pop uP

I like to think of Memorial as city-suburbia.

I may not have a clue, but to assume that I need one is kinda presumptuous.
And I didn't confuse their functions or locations, only their names as I had forgotten that City Centre exists.
