I'm majoring in Fashion merchandising and I don't know what school to go to finish my BFA degree.

I obtained AAS degree in Fashion Design at HCC, so I only need another 2 years to finish my BFA degree.

I'm looking for an online courses because I work full time. I perfer schools in Houston, so I can take a look at the campus and meet up with the advisor.

The only schools that I know that has fashion merchandising online is University of Houston, and Texas State University.

I'm also looking for school that is afforadable. I refuse to pay more than $30,000 for school.

Thanks :-)

Admissions: Tuition & Fees: The Art Institute of Houston

Good luck. $30,000 won't get you anything in Houston in Retail Merchandising. $90,000 will get you a BS in Fashion Merchandising though.

AI is kinda ****ty as far as schools go. My brother went there and did ok because he really applied himself and made the best of it but that school is more about the money than anything else. Most designers that come out of that school are horrible. For design and business I would recommend The University of Houston. I'm a graphic designer (came to houston after school) and every designer I've worked with that came out of UofH is terrific. Not sure how their programs needed for fashion merchandizing rate, but I'd say UofH would definitely be worth exploring. It's pretty highly rated if you ask around.

My friends daughter went to North Texas State in Denton majoring in Fashion Merchandising and got a great internship this past summer with a good designer in NY. That school has been phenomenal for that in this particular case.

Are you wanting to do merchandising or design ? My sister got her BS in Fashion Design from Texas Woman's Univ in Denton. The program is awesome and I know the folks who were in the merchandising program, were able to make great industry contacts. Also when my sister went she was assisted by the department with funding (scholarships / grants / etc ... )

Good luck
