I am currently looking out for a good preschool for my soon to be 18 month old baby, My husband thinks $700 a month is too expensive. Does anyone know of a good preschool but doesn't comes with the $700 price tag? (This is from a accredited montesorri school in katy)

(we just move here from out of state..so we don't know what's the average prices to expect etc... any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!)

I agree, $700/month is nuts. I spend 1500/month for two kids. But out here, you get what you pay for. There are ones that are cheaper... but usually are either run down, or in a strip mall.

Honestly $700/month for a full time toddler seems totally reasonable to me, especially for a Montessori school. I think our Kids R Kids is about that much, although I send mine only part time so it's a bit less. Much less than that and I'd be seriously questioning the quality.

Well..my child is only 18 months old..and I only want him to go part-time for now till he's ready to start full-time school. I wonder if there are churches or schools in Katy that has Mother's Day out type of services?
Thank you.

Oooh you're talking about PRE-SCHOOL not daycare or child care. Big difference. There are tons of those around. Way cheaper. Look into Treasure Cove at The Fellowship at Cinco Ranch or Grace Fellowship Methodist's pre-school. St. Peter's UMC is great but always full. Memorial Lutheran has a great one. They are really everywhere, you can look for a list on Katy Magazine's website I think.

Heard decent things about St. Peters, but as mentioned, hard to get in as it's always full.

Come and take a look at Lifetime Learners Child Development Center. It is a preschool without the expensive price tag. The Director is a former teacher in the Katy ISD system. We are just opening up and very excited to be a part of the early childhood education in Katy, TX. We are located at 6734 Westheimer Lakes North Drive. Give us a call 281-394- (KIDS) 5437
