If the Hawks don't start playing defense then it's going to be a sweep! Kane - no shots and a -3 / Toews - 3 shots and a -3. Not bad.

We choked in the 3rd. End of story.

Congrats to the Wings for a well-played game.

I'm a Ranger fan, but rooting for the Hawks the rest of the way. We know how it feels to endure a drought. 48 years is too long. The Wings have won it too much and the Canes and Pens have won it within the last 20 years. So, Go Hawks!!!!

The Hawks asked for Detroit. The Hawks kept saying "Bring it on!". The Hawks were and still are talking all that garbage.

Well, you know what Chicago? You got your wish cause here we are!!! GOOOO WINGS!!!!

Be careful what you wish for!!!!

I cant think of a single person who wanted Detroit.

The ONLY ones who wanted to face Detroit are probably the bandwagon jumpers who dont know a dang thing about hockey or the Wings.

Id rather face Anaheim any day.

Sucks to see the Pens win tonight. UGH

C'mon Carolina!!!!!

Did I just say that?

Thumbs down Canes down 0-1, need to take game 2

I think the ones who wanted a Det-Chi series was the media, we've had a Pitt-Wash series with Crosby and Ovie being hyped up to high heavens, and now an original six matchup to play for the cup, they need something to hype up and this is it.

I've been reminded that I miss FSN, those VS commentators were biased towards Pitt tonight, (like im sure we were all dying to know what Shania Twain and Sidney have in common). I guess I'll check into NHL radio and pick up Chuck K the rest of the way. 'Canes shot themselves in the foot early-on with those 2 quick goals. Although knowing what happened the last two times we lost game 1, I'm still optimistic. Let's get the split on Thursday.

I was hoping that the Canes would have pulled it off. They looked good in the second, but didn't have the intensity in the third (I know it was a long time before they got their first SOG in that period). If they put together a complete 60 minute effort, they will take the series.

I don't know about Joe B. being biased since he is the voice of the Caps, he can get a little over the top at times. I do like to hear John and Tripp on FSN at times, Tripp reminds me of Laughlin on the Caps broadcasts. Still like to hear Chuck on the radio which I did while picking up my kids and heard the first 2 goals
