Alright gang, this thread is here so that we can keep bickering senselessly about who's team sucks the most, what teams deserve contraction, what players were the biggest busts, and the like.

Go ahead and fill it with trash, smack talk, and digs worthy of an instigator penalty. We gotta have something to survive a long and hot summer.

I for one can't wait to watch the Flyers NOT make the playoffs next season.....

They may as well just leave the Cup in Detroit, because it's not going anywhere. Osgood knows he's the man next year, and Zetterberg showed the world who the TRUE face of the NHL is during the playoffs, despite the medias love affair with Cindy Crosby. The rest of that specatcular roster will be back, perhaps minus Chelios, and as usual there is a legion of talent from Grand Rapids pounding on the door at Joe Louis. Look for Jonathan Ericsson, Jimmy Howard, Derek Meech, and Justin Abdelkader to all play a signifigant role in next years Stanley Cup run.

Thank God for the Wings, because the Tigers & Lions make me suicidal.

For what it's worth, a reporter caught up with Chelios during the victory parade, and he said he's coming back next year. So unless the team doesn't want him back, he'll be there.

This team is definitely well stocked for the future, when the old guys do finally step aside ...

In all fairness, washington will probably compete with the canes for a playoff spot again, but I think the Caps could benefit in getting a veteran or two to go alongside A.O. if they want to compete for a Cup. Kind of like the Pens getting Hossa and Roberts.
