Go Stars! Although I don't have a lot of faith in our goalies.

The Capitals won the President's Trophy by winning games early in the season. They slowed down at the end of the season.

The Capitals-Flyers series should be very entertaining. Both teams chose to bring out shenanigans while playing hockey toward the end of the season. Shenanigans will not get you to the Stanley Cup.

Fleury is back at full strength, and he will be playing Wednesday. The quicker Murray returns, the better the Penguins will be in goal. Maatta and Malkin are doing very well, and may be ready to play Wednesday also.

I think the Penguins have solved the Rangers, and will advance to the second round.

I guess early in the season means the first three-fourths of it. I remember when the Wings did that every year, or so it seemed. I think they can go all the way, but I don't have any idea if they will. The Flyers will get them into playoff mode, so we'll see.

I'll pick

Caps over Flyers in 6
Wings over Bolts in 6
Pens over Rangers in 6
Panthers over Isles in 7
Ducks over Preds in 7
Blues over Hawks in 7
Sharks over Kings in 6
Stars over the Wild in 5

Eh... I see Hawks taking it again... They're a full-blown dynasty at the moment, and the addition of Panarin further solidifies their legitimacy.

With no Canadian teams, I have no dog in this fight.

I kind of like the Panthers as a dark horse to reach the finals, though.

St. Louis wins in overtime in a hard fought game against the Hawks. Hawks had the edge in shots but Elliot was great in goal tonight for the Blues.
