Special Effects? I honestly have not seen it in quite a few years. There was a wig place that carried it, but they're long out of business. What purpose and/or colors are you looking for? ((I'm an avid hair dye person, so I could recommend other brands and strains of color))

If your hair color is dark and you want a strand or two of bright pink or purple, I would definitely look into a dye that has peroxide in it. Sally's does carry a few of these - like Manic Panic. I've heard good and bad about Color Fiend - with it being a demi-permanent. If you want a comb-in color, check out a wig shop or two near you. For cheap tints that will only last a few weeks, Rite-Aid and Walgreen's had some.

If you want those strands to be super-bright, I would definitely bleach the streaks first. Right now, my hair is red, brown, blonde, black, with a few pink strands underneath.

I am looking for the same thing. I wish I knew where it was because I want Special Effects. I have heard some horrible things about Manic Panic and I have Splat in my hair now but I am looking for the Fishbowl color from Special Effects. I guess if I cannot find it I can have it shipped from Amazon.com. That takes forever though.. Maybe I will try Manic Panic in the process. I am coloring hair weave and I never leave it in for more than a week and because I glue it I never really apply much water to my hair during the two weeks so maybe the fading issues will not pertain to me. I will check out Changes too. I live up the street from 22nd so I am sure I can find it.

Sumatra's at Town Center may carry it as well...they are a pretty hip salon.
