Moving to Suffolk next month, Woodlake sub and was wondering what internet providers are available there, high speed of course. Also wondering what experience good or bad anyone has had with said providers and their service / rates. Thanks.

Cox is the big Cable Provider through most of Hampton Roads and that's probably an option for you. I know Charter serves a few areas too though. If Cox is an option, I know they use to have many different levels of options and you should probably check out the website with your exact address to see exactly what is available. I'm thinking the options are Economy speed internet at about $15/month, Value Tier internet at about $26/month. Basic at about $42/month. and Premium at about $55/month. There are no cumulative data limits, you're just paying for a higher speed with the different plans.

For me, the customer service was lacking and non-responsive. But it generally was reliable and pretty standard pricewise for cable internet. Cox also makes you buy the modem up front or rent it at a ridiculously high rate of about $10/month.

The providers in Suffolk are Charter cable (branch of Cox), Verizon or you can go through Hughes Net. Not sure what their plans are, or rates. I'm sure you can check on the various sites and see what they have available. Best of luck to you with your move.

Suffolk Internet choices are Charter= Cable (also the cable TV choice), or Verizon DSL, which lots of people have gone with because Charter's service is sometimes lacking.
