How come there aren't any underground powerlines in the USA?
I live in New Jersey, and all powerlines are overhead, and they are everywhere, so ugly... except in expensive areas. In Europe, all powerlines are underground.

Is there any state/places that has underground powerlines?

In your state or region, do you have underground or overhead power lines?

Mostly overhead in CT, though the new developments are all buried service.

Both. Depends on where you're at. In my neighborhood the main streets have power lines and it's underground from there to all the houses in the off-streets, like mine.

Many states are in the process. California for example.

ive never found power lines attractive. i would think there would be less weather related outages using underground lines. it can be a lovely mess when t-storms or ice storms occur with our overhead type.

Texas is really bad when it comes to its power lines.

Connecticut as well. Some neighborhoods around me that were build as far as 10-15 years back all have underground lines.

That is so bogus. There are lots of overhead power lines in Europe. And there are lots of underground power lines in the US.

I smell a re-emergence of NorthNJ/Mattias/Suryoyo here. I would assume the 201 in the name refers to area code, which includes Bergen County where the kid was from.
