Hey everyone. I recently was told one of my wife's grand uncles served in the German military during World War II. I have his first and last name and birth year, but not much else otherwise. I'm wondering if someone can point me in direction of good resources to find out more about him. Ancestry.com doesn't seem to have much.

To be honest, I think the nature of his service may not have been flattering, and that is probably why there isn't much. I assume he is long dead. Not sure if he was killed during the war or not.
