I've had this pomegranate tree for the past two years or so. It was a small tree about 4' tall when I planted it.

Now it's almost 10' tall, but there is still no fruit! It can bloom like crazy, but none of the flowers has ever set fruit.

I have noticed that even smaller, shorter pomegranate trees in the neighborhood produce fruit.

Do I have a decorative pomegranate tree? Do I need to find another tree and pollinate its flowers? Or is there something else I need to do?

You may have what is known as an 'ornamental pomegranate tree', I have one for 20 years, grows to about 8 ft and flowers like crazy, no fruit..

I suspect a Flowering type too. It certainly is different from the one that my grandmother had. It had a single trumpet shaped bloom that later developed into a fruit.

There is an old legend about the fruiting pomegranate. It is thought to be devoted to it's owner. And when the owner dies, so does the bush. Needless to say, when my grandmother died in December, I wondered if it would come back in the Spring as it always did. It didn't. I keep telling myself that it was an old, old bush and would have died soon anyway!
