My family is considering relocation to CC/FM. I have a 9 year old daughter. Can anyone give me some good advice as to which is better for families? We will be year-round residents and I'm looking for a good neighborhood to settle in and make some good friends. I don't want to be in an area with all snowbirds that are only in town for a few months or with lots of vacation rentals. Also, how are the schools? We are currently looking at the southern end of CC near Rum Runners and FM area by McGregor.

I'd stick with CC.....our SE neighborhood is a nice mix of snowbirds,working and professional families.All you need to do is walk,bike or slowly drive around the area and look around.
