Let's take another stab at this.

I am relocating from Tampa to work in Coconut Grove just off the Turnpike. I am looking for a luxury highrise on the beach or intercoastal, and can afford about 1800 rent.

I like a cafe kind of neighborhood, sailing and diving. I'm 40, single, and a straight male. Access to the Turnpike is important, since I hate sitting in traffic. If it helps, I am from a European background.

I hate SoBe but like Lincoln Rd. I lived for a year on the Biscayne corridor (69th St.) so know the area. I just don't want to live in a building populated entirely by retirees and tourists. I like Surfside but too far, and Bal Harbour but too expensive. A nice view is very important, Intercoastal or, preferably, the ocean. Want a building with all the upscale conveniences, newish, and some social life.

Any ideas?

I am moving this thread to Miami since you say Surfside is too far from Coconut Grove, and that's still in Dade....

Default D'oh! Yes, I meant Coconut Creek

Sorry, and thank you for moving it back.

Looking at Sunny Isles, if anyone has input on traffic to the Tollroad.
