I don't think the Lucky Charms will stay lit. But seriously, now I understand, so thanks I really love having some Captain Crunch (regular) once in a while! I mean yum-o-I'll do anything for 'em-good!
Lucky Charms, Capt'n Crunch....two of my favourites too!
I 'hate' pre-sugared cereals. Cheerios "original" used to be my favorite for years but about 2 or so years ago they seemed to change the recipe. They just don't taste they way they used to. They are much lighter now. Now if I am not having cooked oatmeal my favorite is the mini shredded wheat and I find the store brand - at a dollar less a box - is just the same as the name brand. Occasionally for a change I will eat the wheat flakes that have the dried strawberries - also unsugared.
Oh, I forgot...years ago, my grandfather made us a special treat most mornings...he put oatmeal over the large shredded wheat along with brown sugar and milk. It was sheer heaven Haven't had this in years...maybe I should try it again...
I don't live in the U.S. so a lot of the cereal is unfamiliar to me. But lawdy I wished I'd read the freakin' box when we bought "Grape Nuts". For some weird reason I thought it'd have sultanas in it. Or at least something aside from mixed....pebbles. Think I'll try Fruity Pebbles next time.
Fast forward a few years and my favorite has changed from Corn Flakes to Rice Chex
