I am natural 40 DD and think that breast are over rated. My large breast, are not my whole personality. Yes i get looked at, but so do women with smaller breasts, which i actually really feel look better, some women have just gone so big, that they actually look like carton characters. It is all how you use your material, large breasts, hurt, bras are hard to fit, your back aches, you stick out of clothes, I would be fun to be around no matter if i had small breasts, i love people, and my breasts don't have anything to do with my personality. Well ok, they do come in handy, when i am trying to make deals, as on furniture, and home remodeling? It works.

many women want big breasts because the media has deemed them sexy. there are also some logical reasons why big breasts (and big hips, big thighs, etc) have always been considered sexy: because they indicate to a man that a women is fertile. very skinny women without curves do not appear fertile. thus, the popularity of "naturally" curvy women like Beyonce and J-Lo. Men like curves.hahahaha
I think the two examples you cited are contradictory of what your original title of your post is. If you said Jessica Simpson then you would be correct.
But to answer your question asked in the title of your post............Why? Because that's what men want and some women can't live without attention.
Women have wanted bigger boobs way before television. The reason why...men like them. I wouldn't rank it up with there with the mystery of the pyramids or the Bermuda Triangle.
As a man, I find implants repulsive. Girls/Women who get them (other than for necessary reasons) are blatantly insecure with their natural body, that's a huge turn off for me. Implants are often unpleasant to the touch and even the best of them are easy as hell to spot.

To each his or her own. Nowadays people are getting butt implants, and even calf implants for the guys who have chicken legs. I don't judge anyone, if you can afford it and it makes you happy, thats the only answer to why you need.
