In the mid '90s, my mid-teen daughter and her BF begged me and the BF's mother to be allowed to get out of school early 1 day so that I could take them to a bookstore where a quite popular romance novel cover model was signing books. When it was DD's turn to get her book signed and take a picture with him, he swept her off her feet into his arms for the picture (she was very petite then, weighed 100-105 pounds), nothing for him with those muscles. He was dressed in black pants, boots and one of those billowy white shirts with the big sleeves that was open to his pants waistband, showing his hairless, well muscled chest and abs. (Sue me, I had eyes too! ) On the way home, DD confided to us that his chest was all prickly in this funny little voice. I just laughed and told her that's because he shaved his chest to emphasize his muscles. Her picture was used for the article they ran in the paper on his visit.
I have a very hairy chest but I never really gave it much thought. My wife likes it but to me it’s smh.
