Thought it would be good to get some opinions. I don't really know how good my fashion sense is. I know what I think looks good, but I'm pretty clueless about what women think looks good.

OP, I'll be honest with you. Those look like busboy shoes, ESPECIALLY if you wear them in black. Just tell me you don't wear white socks with them.
Obvious designer shoes turn me off. When I notice a man's shoes, that means they're either pretty bad or really nice. MOST guys wear unremarkable shoes, but the last time I was impressed by a guy's shoes, he was wearing these with jeans:
If bare feet are showing, feet clean and nails clean and maintained.
Probably not liking so much the heavy boots with sharp metal spikes sticking out of the toes. Other than that don't care much as long as they are at least moderately appropriate.

I like a man that stays up to date with sneakers-Jordan's, Lebrons, for instance and pairs it with a nice pair of denim jeans and a nice shirt-as a casual outfit. It turns me off when I see a man with sneakers that are dirty looking, cheap sneakers, sneakers that were hot two years ago, or don't coordinate well with his outfit. Those are my only pet peeves. Generally as long as a man puts effort into keeping his shoes clean, coordinating his outfit, not wearing outdated or cheap sneakers then usually Im fine with what he wears. Again I tend to like the urban street wear clothes, minus baggy jeans and/or shirts that are too big. Some women don't find that style attractive especially as a man gets older, I'm still in my twenties so there's that. When it comes to dressing for somewhere nice, but not too upscale, a nice pair of chinos, a nice button up or sweater shirt, and sperries, Toms, or even a nice pair of clean looking converse that coordinates well with the outfit--are what I tend to really find attractive. For special occasions I appreciate nice leather dress shoes, definitely not sneakers or sperries--as long as again the shoes are taken care of, clean looking/polished and coordinate well with the rest.
I don't like the shoes you posted-they remind me of something I'd see a 60 year old man wear to golf. That's just the image that comes to mind.
Mismatched. Clown shoe on one foot, diving flipper on the other. It shows that you can manage complications with aplomb.
Also, carrying a tennis racket can distract from the shoes by adding a layer of intrigue. No one objects to a man carrying a tennis racket, especially an older wooden one in a press. Checking it at the lobby of the restaurant and asking the maitre d' to "please be careful, it's my mother's" will show your date that you are independent and able to make your own decisions without asking women what they like.
I for one understand the importance of that.........
On one of my first dates when I was 16 it took me 1 hour to get ready for a date ( a right little sort she was ) and left the house and soon as I got out of the cab I stepped in something I wished I hadn't . I had to get another cab back home to change my shoes in a mad dash I just made it in time ( phew !! )
Ps the cabbie held his nose the whole trip and was not best pleased
