It's not impossible, but most people do not look younger than their age (despite everyones claims to).

Society has warped views on what a 30, 40 or 50+ year old should look like, so when people see you aren't a shriveled up prune, it's "you look younger than your age."

Or women think it's a compliment when they're ID'ed at bars or grocery stores. Hello, anyone who has worked a cash register can tell you the register needs a specific DOB or year in order to sell whatever it may be.

My 50 year-old mother looks like she's in her 30s. Everyone thinks her kids are 4 and 6, but we're actually 16 and 20.

ETA: Not impossible, but definitely rare.

Personally i think its the opposite. People do a lot of times look younger than their age and those who do look their age try to bring the rest of us down. Its like "everyone i know looks younger than their age and it isnt fair"

Definitely possible and that just happened to me today. I am in my 30s and the nurse told me I needed to have an adult sign in for me because I wasn't 18! She got a bit flustered when I pointed to my DOB in my medical records. People typically think I am 5-10 years younger than I really am, but I haven't been accused of being a minor in a while!

I blame my genes (both of my parents look about 10 years younger than they are), my face and body shape (small, square face and slim petite build), and TV shows that cast 20 and 30 year old actors into the roles of teenagers.

I was looking at some old pictures of ordinary women back in the 1950s... and they all looked old and portly with perms and granny shoes.. women now have changed so much and stay young looking much longer...I think though genetics plays the biggest part and not smoking..

My mother 80 looks to be in her 60's....Really... I'm 50 folks think I'm younger, even tho I think I do look my age, but look good for 50.. Same with both my daughters 24 & 27, they are mistaken for 16 even 18....

Of course it is possible. It is a combination of good genes and healthy living.
