Like the others said, I would try Rit dye remover.
If that doesn't work, I'd just use this an excuse to get some new clothes. Oh, and never let your husband do the laundry again, lol.
Amen to that!
I wish I can do that....this was a shirt bought on a trip we can't go back too...that's why it's such a big deal...
Is that rit dye something you get at Home Depot?

Rit is available at major retail outlets, including grocery, craft, fabric and drug stores, and mass merchandisers. You can also purchase online by clicking Buy Rit Now.
I usually get it Joann's or Michaels. I'm sure it's at the grocery store, but I'm not sure if the variety of colors are available.

Before saying EB sucks...did you follow the care directions on the pants? - I'd venture to guess they indicated to wash in cold water with like colored items. Why on earth would you wash red jeans with white items? Especially an "expensive shirt"? Sorry to say that some of this is on you.
Good luck.
Read OP's post carefully. Hubby did it. If you have things requiring special care..do them yourself. I feel sorry for the guy trying to help.

The OP edited that in later. Not that it really matters. It happens. My husband threw a red shirt in with a load of whites and they ended up pinks. My SIL threw a load of clothing from the washer into the dryer, and ruined several items of my daughter's clothing. My only beef with the OP was her calling out of the retailer (and I would have said the same whether it was Walmart or Saks) when she said she's too busy to read the care labels on her clothing (not that it would have helped in this case, but it's still nit the retailer's fault unless it happened despiter the instructions being followed).
And no, neither my husband nor my SIL is doing laundry anymore. Mission accomplished? Perhaps LOL...
