First I'd like to confess that I'm not a comic book nerd, certainly not attuned to the deeper goings on of either the DC or Marvel comics. Ok, especially the DC comics.
However, I recently caught up with the "Justice League" movie released back in 2017. In that movie on many occasions the superhero Flash indicated at least twice that he might have a bad sense of direction. At one time he was supposed to rescue civilians in danger travelling to the east, and he panicked that he might not be headed east. The other time was when he was racing superman at the end of the movie.
Is this bad sense of direction supposed to be a "thing" with him within the DC comics universe, or is it just a random line.
ok, well guys...guess the knowledge of this would be a super-cool trivia to obtain. I'll post this up as well if I find the answer.

The reason is: Joss Whedon. He's why the movie and characterizations (Batman, especially) suck.
I didn't have an issue with Aquaman, Flash, Cyborg and Wondy (beyond the savage editing and unnecessary reshoots). It was the dialogue he wrote for Batman and Superman that had me ducking for cover under the plush theater chair.

I remember from those weeks at Fort Knox that many recruits could not point north during the day and of those who could half of them could not on a clear night. With an app dependent generation Drill Sergeant is probably having a tougher time teaching that skill today.

Many of those Baby Boomer/Generation Xer's I went through basic training with had the problem, that is part of the reason all recruits go to BCT, for basic soldering skills. It is not just marching. For someone who always has an app or a car compass and never depended upon the old Boy Scout skills I bet the skill is even more rare.
