Sources are saying that the reason Obama does not want The LA Times to release the tape is because statements Obama said to rile the audience up during his toast. And whether he said it or not, we can assume he believes it because of the 20 year close relationship with his pastor ("like family") Rev. Wright...who believes and preaches this along with several other friends and associates of Obama.
The best part of this stupid thread is that yesterday, on the Palin being a Whack Job thread, Reps refused to believe her being called such was anything but bogus since there was not a verifiable source name given for the info.
Then this comes along and it must be true despite meeting any of the above listed qualifiers.

Known terrorist? Could you explain to me how a widely respected historian and authority on the subject of Middle East Affairs could be described as a "terrorist"?

Who says Khalidi is a terrorist? More right wing lies spewed as fact and then repeated ad-nauseum. If Khalidi was a "known terrorist', the Feds would have arrested him at the party, doncha thunk??
Since the tape isn't released, this is all bogus. No way Obama is going to go out on a limb and commit political and career suicide and say that. Do you think there were no Jews at the party for Khalidi? It was a party the U of I in Chicago faculty and friends, acquaintances threw. I hazard a guess there were Jews there.
