Intrusive???? You're not being forced to watch it, you know. You can always read a book, take a walk, make your lunch for the next day, etc. Or spend the evening writing angry posts on CD.

I would expect to hear more of the same talking points IF I were going to watch it, but I'm not.

Supposedly millions of people without all that much money have donated an average of $86 each to Barack Obama (at least that's their story). Somehow this totalled $150M in October alone. Mr. Obama is spending $1M a shot of this money to advertise his precious self tonight during primetime on almost every channel.

Does it not give some of you pause about what he'll do with all the money he'll have flowing into the government? Maybe start a whole new fad ... buying Presidential air time on the networks!

But, seriously, I wouldn't watch it even if I did support him. But of course that would never happen.

Oh, yes .... those awful people McCain and Palin with all that awful hate mongering. Isn't it just too dreadful for words????

PLEASE!!!! Do you have a clue what they could have done to this candidate if they weren't so darned ethical and if they had the media support behind them the way Obama does?

The hate mongering going on in this campaign is coming from the far left. Take a look at Palin hung in effigy. That's not hate? Oh!! Sorry! It's "installation art".

I'll admit ... I don't try to figure out how attached Obama is to the hate coming from MoveOn.org, Daily Kos, Huffington Post. It doesn't matter because he's not my candidate.

But I do know I would never give a half hour of my time to hear Barack Obama for an uninterrupted 30 minutes as opposed to the 30 second pounding we've been getting here in Florida day in and day out from the guy.

Enough!!! Go away! Let this be over! It's worse than waterboarding!

I'm not going to argue with someone that is apparently content with what America has turned into after eight horrible years under Bush/Cheney. I will bet that you would vote for Bush again if he was able to run. If you are supporting McCain/Palin you would absolutely vote for Bush/Cheney again...I have no doubt about that.

Oh, the blind hate for Barak the Candidate lol.

I, oscottscotto the IT man, expect him to attempt to defuse the manufactured fear-mongering political tactics of the far right and its outlets. I look foward to that and hope all that stupidity can be put to rest. However, I expect visuals to be typical political style though - American flag and images of "regular Americans" will probably be used a mind-numbing amount of times ... as both campaigns usually do.

There truly is "always more than one perspective" isn't there?

Nothing. I plan to make sure the television is off so I don't have to hear him. Who does he think he is to pay for 30 minute 'ads'? Does he have that great of a following that people will drop everything and sit glued to the television for half an hour?

More's the pity. I went to hear McCain and I will go to hear Obama because both men deserve to be heard since they are willing to stick their necks out while we sit and do very little to make the country a better place. I try to hear Barr, Paul and Nader when they are on also. These are all informed people who have some good ideas and a love for our country. Kudos for communicators.

Hmm...I suppose he thinks he's a US Senator running for election who wishes to address the US Citizens prior to the end of the campaign and Nov. 4th (Election Day)....I know it's a rather broad assumption on my part but anything more detailed would really be presumptuous since the Senator has certainly spent an awful lot of time presenting his own case.

I certainly can't tell you how large a following the Senator has but there certainly appears to be a high level of excitement for his candidacy.

Thank you for responding however, we often get exactly what we seek, in my case I'm going to have to scramble to make certain the tv is actually on.
