Depends on your definition of "tank," but more then likely it will be negative for the morning.

The market goes up and the market goes down on a regular basis, sometimes people are able to tell from the futures markets. I used to watch them to see where the market might go each day. Usually it has an influence is right at the start of the day, and it's strongest influence is Monday morning. It doesn't tell you how the day will go, or the week. I check MSN in the morning for the weather, the futures pop up in the "market update" section and stated at least half the days the market made a new record it was looking lower due to futures.

If it worries you every time the market drops, then the best thing to do is turn off the TV and go do something else. There are big drops, and big gains, just randomly. If you watch it daily like a play by play you will just end up giving yourself an anxiety disorder.

The US dollar is up early against almost every currency ,and gold is up about one percent against the dollar.

Yesterday the futures looked grim, and the Dow only lost 62. Not a tanking by any sense of the word.

Today the futures look up, want to see how the Dow does?

no, compared to the eurozone the US market looks like a good place for euro's to park there $$$$ and not have it stolen by there banks.
