Where is a good place to go for Christmas dinner? It can be anywhere from North Wilmington, Chadds Ford or Kennett Square, PA, Chesapeake, MD, Elkton Maryland and a little north, or Southern Delaware as far as Dover. Thanks!

How about home?
If not we went to Cracker Barrel a few times but that was Thanksgiving. We always had a huge pot-luck dinner at home for Christmas.

No specific recs here but a rather general one. Consider (if finances allow) a nice hotel. Hotel Du pont for example that has a nice restaurant. They have a nice dining restaurant and is in the downtown area for a nice walk, weather permitting.

The Sheraton is No More. Delaware State University entered into a $12 million, 15-year lease agreement with the owners of the Sheraton with an option to buy any time after the end of the second year. It's a dormitory and conference center now.

I was thinking of Michele's in the Dover Downs Hotel, but looked it up and they are closed Christmas Day. In fact, I don't know of any restaurants that are open Christmas Day, around Dover anyway, which is where I am.

Don't know what your budget is or what you'd like to eat but I believe the 1906 restaurant in Longwood Gardens is open. You could have Christmas dinner AND see the beautiful lights.
