I'm guessing chiefly due to exceptional diversification and a super-abundance of district, regional, national and Int'l. HQs Eastern DFW (Dallas-Plano-Irving) is rolling.

Since when did Irving get defined as ”eastern DFW”? What are they smoking?

Eastern DFW is Wylie, Rockwall, Garland, Mesquite, Seagoville, etc. Not Irving.

Not your decision.

The OMB/Census Bureau/Federal Reserve decided years ago that the DFW MSA is comprised of the Dallas-Plano-Irving and the Fort Worth-Arlington subdivisions.

One is east of the other........hence Eastern DFW.

It's just referring to the dallas side of the metroplex pretty simple to me.

Lepoisson: This article is more evidence that the Arlington and Euless are not the best locations for a short commute to most high skilled professional jobs.

Stick to Irving for your girlfriend's commute. If you want to move later to a central location for jobs, check the area along 635 between PGBT and 75.

Las Colinas and the new Cypress Waters would be a huge factor.

Cypress Waters while miles from Dallas is in Dallas city limits and an island by itself.

There has been lots of corporate growth at Legacy Plano. They have Toyota, NTT Data, Capital One, JPMC, and FedEx.

The Pier 1 Imports Ft Worth HQ had many layoffs, before they finally closed last year. They sold the building to Ft Worth city hall. Schwab relocated their HQ from California to Westlake. Have there been other major relocations to west side of the airport?

It obviously means Dallas and Colin Counties.

Irving is in Dallas Country, I would consider it the eastern half of the metroplex.

Calling Irving, which is smack in the middle of the Metroplex, Eastern DFW, is a bit weird. Also, DPI also includes Rockwall and Denton County. . .so basically all the economically important counties besides Tarrant County.
