Hello - We recently moved from Northern California and considering a GRAND home in Frisco Hills, Little Elm. I did find some old threads on this topic which are 3 to 5 years old and I see people mentioning about highway construction, traffic issues and especially a lot of negative feedback around GRAND homes. I just want to know if things got any better or we should completely avoid Frisco Hills and GRAND as the builder

Can someone please shed some light on the following

1. How is GRAND as a builder. I heard some feedback around how they can be pushy around signing the contracts etc, but what about the quality of construction? Are they ok?

2. How is the area in general, is it worth looking at other builders in the area if GRAND homes is not a good choice

3. Any idea about the following schools

Miller elementary
Trent Middle School
Memorial High School

Thanks in Advance...

All Frisco schools are good, some are great. Memorial is on the east side of the Dallas Noth Tollway so not close. I have no personal knowledge of Grand, just what I read here. I would get your own phase inspector and visit the build several times a week. Knowing you are around may make them more careful

Personally I would avoid Grand. Love their plans, love their website. Poor quality homes

1. Grand is not know for quality but have the "wow" factor. You would need to hire a phase inspector if you buy. Also, they take big chunks of earnest and deposit money, and will keep them even if you cancel for legit reasons. Quality issues is turn over in both construction and sales.
2. Go with Landon if you are going over in Frisco hills. Much, much better builder.
3. I believe Frisco Hills is Little Elm with Frisco schools which are very good.

Here's my 2 cents on Frisco Hills.

It's in Little Elm with Frisco ISD. Not the best part of Frisco ISD.
Commute to any highway is at least 20 minutes during rush hours even after all construction on 423 being done.
Grand Home: As many others have said..... Good looking plans but a low build quality. My RE simply asked me to avoid buying Grand Homes. Few of my friends have Grand Homes and they feel that they paid lot more for the quality.

I went to Frisco Hills back in 2014 (over 4 years) when I was looking for new houses. Grand Homes sales guy was extremely pushy..... he wanted me to simply sign the contract the moment I entered their office. I am glad I did not consider the community and the builder.

Obviously they will sell their house and find buyers. But be aware all baggage you will bring with the purchase at this location and the builder.

Stay away from Grand homes. Too many bad houses and lawsuits. Do a search on here about previous Grand threads.

They are hard to resale due to a terrible reputation for quality. Most good agents with experience avoid Grand homes.
