Can somebody recommend a good dashboard camera? Preferably one that has suction cups to mount on the front windshield and can be plugged into a standard 12v outlet?

why not use your phone cam? i am pretty sure there's a LOT of accessories that can make you put your phone on the dashboard.

Either that or you go hill billy ingenius duct tape route to tape your phone in the dashboard.

I'd actually like to have a camera mounted to my car in case I ever get into an accident again. The little f***er who hit me was illegally in my lane and I ended up getting a ticket. If I had a camera on the dashboard, I could have shown the stupid cops what actually happened and they could've given the ticket to the correct person.

Can't be that difficult to rig any video cam of your choice to the dashboard. I knew a guy back in the 90s that rode with a vhs cam on his helmet. That thing weighed a ton. If that can be done, a dash cam is easy.
