The second week of July I remember was really nice. Not TOO hot and humid and sunny with no rain.

Every other week this year.......let's change the subject.

We did the picking this past weekend, the Honey Crisp were in perfect condition and tasted great. As of last night I turned off the air and opened windows, please tell me I can pretty much shut it down for the season and let in the fresh air.

I'm always so eager for Fall, saw some indication of a potential bad storm around the beginning of Oct, someone mentioned possible snow?!?

The pattern being shown as potential is quite interesting. Get ready to say "JUST LIKE THAT?". Its gonna be a slap in the face but of course not last long. But it might feel downright cold compared what we've been through and without breaks.

I'm not entertaining the S word yet but when Edmonton and parts of Canada are breaking early snowfall records, you just have to wonder if that pattern will visit us soon.

How would you guys like to be in North Dakota this afternoon??

90s in Iowa and 40s & 30s in North Dakota. Well above normal in Iowa. Well below normal in North Dakota.

Spoiler

For us... 5pm Map.. I'll take it! Nice to wear Jeans again.

Question is.... will we be wearing sweatshirts during the day next weekend.

Small temperature reading near SW CT stick around the 60s. Only one 70 and that's both at the end of the cold wave, and too far out to get into specifics. But the stage is set! Now we're talking

Ugh. Can't stop looking at weather stations. Found this but not sure about the reliability. https://www.ambientweather.com/amws1500.html

Sept 1-20 Period:

Bridgeport:
Average Temp 72° (5th Warmest)

Hartford:
Average Temp: 70.6°. (5th Warmest)

Here's a look at the lowest temp per month for Windsor Locks since 2005. Of course September is not over but right now with 9 days left the low temp is only 51. Check out previous years. Dropped to upper 30s a few times.

Do you guys remember the -9 below 0 in January?

Looks like the pattern of rain, high dews in the 70s, high temps in 80s / 70s comes back on the 26th? Reading models verbatim but

Yup.. did you see whats happening on the otherside? God I hope we get that pattern on our side soon!! But believe it or not whats happening there is a reason why we will get warm and humid. Jet stream dips there, rises here.

Check out the dews coming up. Sat-Sun-Mon-Tues look great though. And no 90s or 80s. Slowly transitioning to Fall.

Hmm. Found this today. Strange thing is there are evergreens all around, but this is the first time I have seen one in a decade. Is it an Eastern White Pine?
