Here's 7 links to my trip around Pueblo last night after work. I started at Abriendo, went down to the river where the Kayakers go and along that Famous Mural, to Midtown, then around Grand Main, and Court, then to the East side of Pueblo down 8th and back on 4th, to the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center and Chamber of Commerce area, to Union Blvd Historic District and the Riverwalk, to the Marriott/ Pueblo Convention Center, then up Elizabeth and off to Pueblo West. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for checkin them out. I wanted to keep this main thread bumped up because there are all seven links in the 1st post.

I don't know who all took part in that mural. It must have taken some time because it extends all the way from the 4th street bridge there at least, on beyond I-25 where it crosses the Arkansas. I will look into that and see if there's anything at the library when I get a chance.

Maybe someone else from Pueblo would know??

So far, everybody's commenting on the mural! If you haven't been down there lately, you have to kind of take that road behind the Walgreens on 4th and Abriendo to get there, then there's a parking lot back there and a very steep hill to climb down. Maybe there's better access somewhere.

Thanks for checking out the pics. I wish I could have to sub-threads locked up and this one for comments because I don't want the others to get missed. I accidently put the Abriendo one in the Springs forum! Whoops. But the Mods helped me fix that one. Thanks Katz!

I have always loved the historic structures in Pueblo, but the new/modern are also very impressive. Wonderful photos and thank you for taking the time to post them! I am long overdue for a trip down there to check out what has been happening.

Hey, thanks for bumping up this Link thread. This is the one I'd like to have a sticky of, and maybe close the others for comments and keep this one for that.

I don't know the best way to do a pic thread or how to ask the mods for help on this.

Well Aztec, I've seen your photo threads and those are awesome. I'm the kind of guy who can take 500 photos and maybe have 5 really good ones. And not like Professional type good. I took what I thought were awesome photos in the San Francisco thread and I didn't get 1 lousy response. That's all a guy needs, is a "Hey, nice pic" once in a while. But I love doing it. I learned so much about my own town in about 3 hours of clicking a button.

Thanks again for stopping by here and it's time to check out who's playing at the Fair. I think it runs from the 22nd to September 1st. Summer's zooming by. Before you know it, it'll be Football Season!!!!!!!!!!!

Default Pueblo/Canon City

Exactly! But it can be Pueblo/Canon City or Fremont/Pueblo County or Ark Valley or something like that! Good Idea!

Any CD folks going to the state fair should take the side trip to the river wall mural, and take time to see the city.
