I will be moving to Durango in December and am looking to purchase or rent a townhome or home. The problem is that I have no idea what DWII means or any other random explanation of its location. If someone could point me in the direction of a map that shows where these places are that would be great!

Durango West II (DWII) is off of Hwy 160 east, a few miles outside of town limits. You'd make a right (north) turn to go into DWII, and a left (south) to go into DWI? Confused? Yes - there is a DWI&II. DWII (in my opinion)is a bit nicer, with larger lots, and well kept homes. DWI is directly across the road, and (again, in my opinion) has homes that do not seem to be as well constructed or as well kept. As far as demographics, DWII has more professionals, and DWI more blue collar.

Yep. DWI was first and the codes were lax in that day, near the entrance there are cabins and trailers mixed among homes, once you get up in the back, there are newer homes. DWII is newer, they started building here in the 80's, mid I believe. There are no trailers here, the homes are kept up more, surprisingly well considering there is no HOA. There is a trail system built through out the subdivision with a large greenbelt in the middle. It really is a nice subdivision, it can feel like you are living in the country but without the maintence! I live in DWII so I'm a little biased.

To answer your question, I have never seen an online guide to the subdivisions, there is a map in the phone book if you get one.
