I've only been a VT fan since 2005 when I got accepted/enrolled so anyone looking at our records since then (77-23) would realize I've had a pretty easy ride over the past 7 seasons or so of fandom. Guess it's time to separate the men from the boys and unload the bandwagon a bit. Good lord are we bad this year.

As a UT fan, I know what you mean by not being used to sucking, but every team has off years and rebuilding years or years rediscovering their identity when nearly the whole roster turns over, so give 'em some time.

And yes...meanwhile, it is very painful.

My wife went to VT and I find hokie fans incredibly obnoxious. I'm enjoying this. Lane stadium made the fans that go to USC games look like football geniuses.

You get one of those on occasion. The right mix of guys move on and it happens. Tech's had about two decades of really solid ball. It happens.

It will get better. Auburn beat us, Alabama, six years in a row. Those were rough years.

Playing in the ACC will do that to a program. It is like a retirement football conference.

Says the WVU fan, whose team finally started to have good years at the time VT and Miami left the Big East.

And look what happened to them. We just got better and they got worse. There is no doubt the Big E is better than the ACC, even now without WVU.

BTW, good luck facing another cupcake school tonight. WVU actually plays good teams. I look foward to your bragging about how FSU triumphed against some crappy ACC school.
