They call him Johnny Football. This young man is amazing. If you have a chance to see one of their
games I'm sure you will be impressed, too.

Looks like he is the real deal.

Now if he can just avoid getting himself arrested again.

David Ash is ranked 2nd in the nation and Manziel is 10th. Hook-em.

Johnny Football continues to improve. One thing he hasn't learned yet is to slide. He isn't that big so I worry about his durability. So far he has taken some big hits and done nicely. I think he is still holding back on some throws because he wants to avoid INTs. He can make a lot of throws he hasn't tried. Should come with more experience. Anyone that saw him play in high school is not surprised how dynamic he is.

His arrest was for a fight and having a fake ID.

Ash by the way played nicely against Okla. St. He made clear that he was the right choice. McCoy may never play again except in mop up.

I saw Johnny was pretty careless about not sliding against the hogs. That is something the coaches will teach out of him quickly, especially after a few more big defensive hits.

McCoy ain't his brother, that's for sure.

RGIII is making the college/pro transition quite well.

Garrett Gilbert couldn't translate his stellar high school career to college, but it looks like Manziel sure will. That kid is cool as ice.

Deservingly so. I think Marcus Mariota of Oregon will also be talked about. Two great, great young qbs.

Yes he will be. Even though he had one or two bad games, he's the most sensational freshman I've seen since Colt McCoy - but much more athletic at this point.

And to think, Texas didn't offer him even though he wanted to come to Austin. Guess that proves Greg Davis' talent evaluation skills in recent years.
