College Football misses the boat on titling a champion. There has to be an NFL style playoff system. Allowing teams to schedule cream puffs, then make their way up the rankings is not fair either. Boise State/TCU/Utah of the world comes to mind...its not their fault, its a conference alignment/regional issue. Even more, is it fair that the SEC is given high praise because of who they play? To even the playing field for teams on either side of the fence, an NFL playoff system should be in place.

You have to wonder why some big teams have not opted to play a home and home with Boise State. Over the last few years they have played some big teams on the road. This season at Michigan State, last season at Georgia (essentially a road game), Virginia Tech in 2010 (another essential road game). They cannot help the fact that they play in a weak conference. They can't just up and join the SEC, or Big 12 at the blink of an eye. The same could be said for other quality teams from other conferences called weak.

People love to argue that the regular season would lose its importance if there were to be an 8 or 16 team playoff. How to figure this past season then? Alabama not only did not win their conference, they did not even play in the title game. What kind of a message does that send? That's not a knock on Alabama, but a legitimate question to those who make the argument of the regular season losing its importance. The most exciting BCS game this year was probably the Oklahoma State-Stanford game. Don't even mention the fact that both Michigan and V Tech did not deserve their Sugar Bowl bid. OK State deserved a title shot.

The reason Big schools will not schedule a home and home with Boise is because Boise cannot offer enough money for the Big schools to come to them. They just dont have enough money... Period

And the reason Big Schools will not bring Boise to their home is because they do not travel well, meaning they do not generate enough revenue... The Georgia and VA Tech games were "sponsored" games. So Georgia and VA Tech didn't have to pay Boise anything. The sponsors paid both schools. That is the only way Boise can get the games aginst the Big schools. If Big schools brought Boise in to play... They would be paying them and get nothing in return except a possible loss.

Underneath the competition... College Football is a business. And it is a horrible business decision to work with Boise because it's a loss in revenue and a possible loss on the field.
