Both the out-parcel with Stadium Sports and the shopping center adjacent are owned by Eric Jarman under the auspices of Sterling Rental Co. I can't imagine he would have just renovated that building and created Stadium Sports to turn around and sell it. I guess he could have sold the shopping center however with that new development across the street it doesn't make much sense. It's about to become much more valuable...
Exactly. And he didn't know ECU was maybe interested when he renovated it....its been about 5 years now.
I am wondering if maybe there are plans for some sort of commercial development on 10th St now where the bridge drops off...that Harris Teeter functioned as the downtown grocery store. ECU would have just turned its main campus into a food desert.
Has anyone noticed at the intersection of Greenville BLVD and Red Banks that there are, what looks like, cell towers going up? I looked up 5G towers and it looked a lot like a few I saw, but I haven’t seen any announcement on what they could be. If we are getting 5G, that’s freakin’ awesome!
There are more of these now on Memorial Drive just north and south of Greenville’s Blvd. Based on what the signal on my phone showed as I passed they belong to AT&T and at least one is turned on with 4G LTE already.
Harris-Teeter seems to forget certain stores exist. The one that closed in Ogden was an even better time capsule than this one. They did at least change out the logo font on the facade here.
Yucky, has anyone seen the new convention center signage? It’s god awful.. reminds me of a cup from the 90’s. The old sign was much, much better.
