Exactly. And he didn't know ECU was maybe interested when he renovated it....its been about 5 years now.

I am wondering if maybe there are plans for some sort of commercial development on 10th St now where the bridge drops off...that Harris Teeter functioned as the downtown grocery store. ECU would have just turned its main campus into a food desert.

There are more of these now on Memorial Drive just north and south of Greenville’s Blvd. Based on what the signal on my phone showed as I passed they belong to AT&T and at least one is turned on with 4G LTE already.

The building needed some work and if HT did not want to do it, I'm sure another grocer will.

The Soffe clothing store in the strip mall near the 10th/Portertown Walmart closed. It was a nice place.

That’s too bad but not surprising; there was zero advertisement for it and it was not in a widely trafficked area.

Harris-Teeter seems to forget certain stores exist. The one that closed in Ogden was an even better time capsule than this one. They did at least change out the logo font on the facade here.

Yucky, has anyone seen the new convention center signage? It’s god awful.. reminds me of a cup from the 90’s. The old sign was much, much better.
