There's funk, like George Clinton, and there's funk, like an overcrowded subway car. According to George Preti, Ph.D., of the Monell Chemical Senses Center, only one is caused by a complex cocktail of sweat, skin and bacteria. Under the right conditions — hot, muggy weather, dry skin, stress and smoke — this aromatic stew can thrive and create body odor, Preti says. Assessing climate history and smoking data, we ranked the smelliest regions in the U.S. See if your city made the list

Oh I just can't wait to see where this thread goes but we'll let it ride... for now. If anything because it actually hasn't been done before.

New Orleans is the smelliest of the smelliest by far.
Not necessarily when it comes to BO, but the city itself had some strange stenches. (Urine was one stench)

I'm surprised no Florida cities made it on there. Hot weather and high humidity gets a fellow reeking.

Cities with the worst B.O.? Here's the most recent history in my opinion:

2010: DC
2009: DC
2008: Chicago

Not anymore they wash the street with some kind of Lemon flavored chemicals now. The alternate between Lemon and Berry every other week. I do have to say that the early morning urine/vomit/feces combination did add some character to Bourbon.

This thread stinks !! LOL

I would say a city with the most homeless people would be the smelliest.
