Probably not my first choice if I was on a certain '90s PBS game show in terms of what I'd write down while Rockapella sings "Where do you wanna go? Yeah yeah yeah yeah", but Mackinack since I've never been to Michigan and its Grand Hotel seems to surpass the quality of any Nantucket resort accomodation.
Speaking of which:
Playa Del Carmen, Yucatan, Mexico, or San Diego, CA?

Nice reference. I was a faithful 'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego' viewer back in the day as well. I've found some old episodes on Youtube to watch with my kids, too.
I'm going with San Diego. I've already been to the Caribbean, but never the Pacific. I'm also more interested in San Diego's food offerings. Playa del Carmen is just too touristy for my taste, as I prefer to visit more authentic locales.
Lake Champlain, New York/Vermont or Lake Chelan (Washington)?

I'm a big fan of San Diego and I've always enjoyed the time I've spent there. I passed through Playa del Carmen once and I liked what I saw, so I'm going to pick this one so I can actually experience it. Plus, I would love to see a cenote (underground pool).
Now, to represent the two endpoints of Interstate 95: Miami, FL or Houlton, ME?

EscAlaMike: I prefer Washington over New York. There are better mountains.
bus man: Houlton can get very cold, and Miami has the Everglades.

Going to go with Lake Champlain because I think that part of the country is very pretty.

Bar Harbor, Maine, or Pigeon Forge, Tennessee?
I liked Bar Harbor well enough the one time I visited, but it didn't seem to be a particularly friendly place. Pigeon Forge has tons of things to do (the Titanic museum there is probably the best of its type I've ever seen) and you've got Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains right there.
And speaking of, would you rather visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or Yosemite National Park?
Utqiagvik, AK (formerly known as Barrow) or Adak, AK?
As cool as it would be to be able to say I'd been to the northernmost city in the US, I'd still rather visit Adak. The Aleutians have stunning scenery; while Barrow is flat, desolate, and muddy.
Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico or Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada?

Haven't set foot in either one, but (being a nature nut), I found the online pictures of Kelowna
made me eager to go there... so much attractive greenery.
Milwaukee WI or Buffalo NY?
