^These 3 cities came from the same gene pool^
Seattle has done a nice job of emulating SF in city building imo.
SD might have the most upside of any city in the usa.Bigger brighter Miami perhaps.
New York and Chicago, both are world financial powerhouses built on public transportation (like subway, cabs train), cold winters, limitless arts and culture
LA and Houston, both are world economic powerhouses built on auto transportation, huge port facilies, limitless culture, sprawl and warm year round
Dallas and Atlanta, both are land locked econamic powerhouses, built more on highways transport hubs and airline hubs, lots of culture, mild winters
Boston and Philly, great cities with history, landmarks, lots of economic power, similar climate
San Diego and Orlando, both are extrordinarily overated, built on no more than tourist attractions, no culture, warm climate
Austin and Columbus, both are state capitals with booming growth and huge renowned state universities
San Antonio and Tucson, both are rich in Spanish culture and architecture, both are tourist attractions, mild climate and fun!
Memphis and New Orleans, built on river transport and history, similar demograghically and culturally, awesome music too!

Yeah, San Diego does look like Miami, with the palm trees, dowtown architecture, a bridge across the water, and a large Spanish speaking population. They are also similar in wealth and materialism.
Denver and Seattle is another pair of similar cities.
Pittsburgh and Cincinnati -- both green, both in the Appalachian foothills with roads winding up steep hillsides, lots of turn-of-the-century rowhouses, both on the Ohio River with downtown right on the river (or rivers plural in Pittsburgh's case), similar size geographically and population-wise, both holding their heads high even if they've seen better days, similar skylines, same size downtown areas, both have notable nightlife districts right across the river from downtown (though Cincinnati's nightlife district happens to be in a different state).... lots of similarities.
