I would like some people who are personally familiar with these areas to please give me your opinions on how they compare. I have a friend looking at employment possibilities in both areas and would like some ideas on what to expect commuting into them each day. The areas are near Delaney St and Chase Ave and also Eden Park Drive and Gilbert Ave. Thanks for any honest input.

A job is a job. I'd take either one. Both areas are decent, however the further north on Gilbert you travel...the worse it gets.

As far as commuting, six of one, half dozen of the other. Depends on where you live of course; if you're in Westwood, say, the commute to Northside would be a piece of cake. If you're living in Batavia, the commute to Northside would be a royal pain in the behind.

The opportunity to work across the street from Eden Park would be ideal, no matter where I lived.
