Just started it and on episode 3 -- so far, fantastic, and the shots of the city and the loop tracks in particular are beautiful.

My expectations were low coming in, but wow, they did an amazing job with S2.

I was tickled to find out recently that a friend of mine had actually created the menu concept drawings Carmy was showing Sydney.
She did good work on them!

I just saw this post the other week and just started watching this show. Jeez, it's supposed to be a comedy but it's so stressful! LOL

I love to cook but I would never be able to survive in a kitchen like this.

I'm on episode 5 of Season 1 and I love the show so far.

Season 2 was one of the best season series of TV I've ever seen. I am considering GoT, The Sopranos and Succession when I make this statement. Fantastic writing, great acting, great directing and some intangible quality that made it, episode to episode-- an incredible rollercoaster of humor, hubris, melodrama, fear and empathy. Can't wait for season 3. (actually wondering if they can keep the momentum. I suspect they can).

Yeah, I'd lump Six Feet Under in there, too. I thought Season 1 was interesting but volatile. Season 2 started out boring but I love the growth each character gets.

I haven't seen this talked about, though: the hand rubbing on their chests between Carmy and Syd. Where did that come from? I love how they both calm down and take personal responsibility for the current argument and then move forward.

I believe it was explained earlier in the season as ASL for "I'm sorry"

ETA: Yep. https://youtu.be/siQnKSRRg_c

Loved it. The flashback Christmas episode was pure gold.
