Hey guys,

So my wife and I are moving to Chicago area in July. She will be working at Rush Medical Center.

We were looking to live in Oak Park/Forest Park/ River Forest area. We would also be open to living in the city if there was somewhere we could find a single family home to rent (that would be safe). Max budget is $3500 per month.

We have a dog but no children.

Could you guys recommend a realtor to help with the search?

Thank you!

Just visit hotpads.com. People usually do not use a realtor to rent.

Realtors are good for out-of-town renters who don't know the area and need to be efficient with their time/travel schedule/paperwork... Plus, the commission is usually paid by the landlord, so it is a free service for the prospective tenant. By all means, they should still use HotPad and all the other tools out there.

And no, I'm not a realtor.

That's a nice budget. If you want a closer in suburb that isn't too far from Rush, maybe try LaGrange or Elmhurst.
